After I ate lunch, I pulled the sack out of the garbage can in the kitchen and was going to put it out in the trash... we have a metal roof and it started plinking and dinking. I hurried outside with the bag and was driven in. The hail hurt too much and I had to wait about a half hour to get back up to my shop (I walk as it is on my property). We were getting hail the size of a grape and then it poured... we DO need the rain! This is a strange sight on an early Texas day!

I saw some nerdy looking scientist kid on the main street media declare all these storms are due to global warming. Since the polar area is warming we down south are getting colder. Not sure I understand the logic but hey, what do I know? A cold front blew through and it cooled off yesterday afternoon but is going to be back into the mid-80s today.

Some shots of the aftermath of a hail storm in Rocksprings, TX back in 2010. Hardly a leaf still on any tree in the area.

Even the birds couldn't escape nature's wrath...

Hail the size of a grape?

I can tell that you've been married for a while. I once heard it explained that married guys describe hail by fruit (grape, apple, grapefruit, etc.), and single guys use sports terms (marbles, golf balls, softballs, etc.)
