I went down to my local dealer this morning to get a new front tire as I am starting a road trip on Monday. I brought Karen with me so we could run errands afterwards.

The household is now less one America owner but has gained a Bonnie owner. Karen traded her bike in for a 13 T100 ( black/grey) and will be taking delivery later this week.

I just spent the last six hours stripping off every accessory I could including the powder oated front end, leaving only the kuryakyn silver bullets, the chrome front master cylinder cover, the gunfighter seat, chrome chain guard and the specialty spares short slash cuts (those May come off tomorrow, well see). Everything else is stock again.
Wow, what a chore that was and her bike was nowhere near as done up as mine.

Yes, I'll be posting all the takeoffs in the classifieds

i have given some serious thought to the T100 or the thruxton modified to be more sit upish. They are a very nice bike, i think she is going to really enjoy the neutral sitting position on those bikes.

That's just cruel and undeserved punishment

The sales guy brought her Bonneville over today and took the America with him. Here are a couple first shots and final shots.

+1 to that! This is the first I've seen of this particular paint scheme, and I have to say I think it might be my new favorite one on the standard Bonnie line!

(...well done, Karen!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Sweet! I, too, always loved the T100 / Thruxton but wished it had a wider tire at the back, kinda like the Ducati GT1000.
