New to the forums. New to Triumph. I have a 2008 America efi and looking to change out the Mags for Spokes. Any suggestions on what will fit? Or where I might be able to purchase the right rims. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Find someone who wants to trade their earlier America wheels for your mags, as they are a plug and play fit. You have the advantage of being able to repair your tire with a plug and an air source along side the road and get to a repair station or your house, with spokes you call a tow truck. Just sayin'

You can place a WTB or trade add in the classified on this site, i have also seen them on Ebay from time to time, as Ryk has mentioned they do look nice no question but if you are on the road and your tire goes, so does the ride.

Cmon man! dont let these fellas scare you off getting spokers. It isnt anymore likely you get a flat with a spokers then you will with mags, matter of fact a small nick through the carcass of a tubeless WILL leave you setting while the same damage in a tube tire may not make it to the tube. Unless your carring a plug kit and a pump you are out of luck anyway.I had a flat on my tiger a few yrs back,a plug wouldnt have fixed it,mag wheels,I still called a tow truck,,,,,,,just sayin.

smaug? Ever have a flat with a tubed tire??? You know... big ol' roofing nail through the tire and tube? That tube will blow air out at an impressive rate and you will squirm around and probably find religion where a tubeless will go flat at a more leisurely rate. I like the wire wheels better but the tubes are definitely not as much fun with a nail through the carcass of the tire.

I've had several varietys of flats. The one on my tiger was a roofing nail and it was flat real damn quick. It ripped a big enough hole that a plug or slime wouldn't fix it. On my spoker I had the carcass ripped a bit (as mentioned earlier) but did not have the tube damaged. Doesn't matter at this point, the op wisely went his own way and found a willing trade closer to home. Damnit!

I know a guy who has a set of laced rims for sale if you are still considering the swap. I don't think he frequents the forum anymore, but I have his email info and forward him your contact info.

Mike. Let me know if the mags will work on an 06 because I'm thinking of switching to them also.
'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.

also look for a triumph legend tt or thunderbird 900 rear and front are plug and play. I have a legend rear wheel and mercking has (I believe) thunderbird sport front and rear. both are 17s, earlier models have a 16 rear.
haven't tried it but I have a feeling all the bonnie spoked rims will fit too. but you wont have the massive 170 rear tire on any other sets ups.
