Hey guys, new member, first post. i just got an 03 America. i need to replace the front tire. it has the old 3.50S18 on it. I would like to replace it with the 110/90 18. Will it fit? Will their be any clearance issues. I know that a couple of years after the 03 they started putting the 110/90 18 on it. I am not sure if they had to raise the fender or not though. I think the recomendation is for the 110/80 18.

You should be fine as not much changed with the specs until 09/10 (I think) and many have put on a 90 series tire.

Had the tire replaced yesterday. good news is it fits fine, bad news is I had 2 broken spokes. I jut ordered a few from triumph dealer. will have to get them installed before I ride, kinda makes me want mag wheels. I have read a few threads on some other sites saying broken spokes have been a problem triumph. does anybody know anything about that? thanks.

Hey Shane... welcome to the forums! I too own an '03 and have had zero problems with spokes, and I put on a lot of miles each year. I wonder what caused yours to break....

Thanks. I am not sure. The guys at the shop are kinda puzzled too. Still have not decided if I am going to put mags on it or not. I had spokes on my honda shadow and never had problems. Of course I never even remember checking them. I guess when you start asking around everybody had their opinions. I had never given a second thought to spokes. Now I have heard from a lot of people saying if you can go with the mags. Some say the tire will deflate slower if it is tubeless, i had always thought just the opposite. Really not sure what to do now. A lot of people are telling me if i do get the spokes fixed i need to have all the spokes replaced. just not sure what to do???
