so the bike was on its stand in the dirt. then it rained and the dirt turned to mud. and my upright speedy turned into one on its side with a broken clutch lever (my BC indicator took a beating, too. but this is a story about levers). so i ordered these from china and i've got to say i'm pleasantly surprised at the quality: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G1Y2VY2/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1the clutch lever required a bushing be transferred, but the brake did not. shipping from china isn't quick, so you might want to grab a good book or three.

I ordered a very similar set, if not the exact same set, from ebay. I am also pretty impressed with the quality, I just hope they hold up.

Yeah I don't expect the anodizing to be super robust, but I'd say I'll get my $40 worth out of them.

I would say it was more of a sliver/back, the color has grown on me...I did have a problem with the brake side. When put on the 1 position?? closes to the bar the front brake would not full engage...but I don't run it that way...so I am all good

yeah I get the search for the cheap replacement just to get riding again! thing is that an OEM replacement off eBay would be about the same money.

Find me an American Made lever for a Triumph........and I'll buy it. And don't think for a minute that an OEM lever is made in Great Britain....if not China, perhaps Thailand...where the rest of the bike is made (minus the engine....for now anyway).
