So I'm in the process of repairing my bike since the crash, and today as I was bolting up new pieces, it was painfully obvious how old my bike is getting. The new pieces are so bright and shiny with no blemishes at all. It really makes other parts look like they need to be replaced now.

Hmmmm, are you SURE we're still talking about the bike now, Dave? Does the "bike" creak a little when you start in the morning. Do you find "it" seems to run out of gas a little earlier in the evening hours. And, there's no problem "getting up" to operating temperature after starting it, is there?

lol Prudence vis-a-vis Vera Lynn or Cinnamon Girl represents the 'new parts'. They all look new when ya step 5 feet away from them. Sorta like the six-pack rule. No worries though Dave, as the older your bike gets, the older you'll get, meaning you won't have to stand 5 feet away anymore, soon enough.
