When I used to drink I liked Northern lights, equal parts cranberry juice, grapefruit juice, and Yukon Jack. I also liked Slow Screws orange juice and slow gin. Mostly I just drank Jack D straight or made jungle juice 5th of Everclear 190 proof, 2L bottle of sprite, bottle of Boons Farm apple wine, and a can of Hawaiian Punch (red) used to put mixed fruit in it too.

I wasn't, like I said, I mostly drank Jack Daniels straight but I did like those as a change once in a while.

Used to like the Beam a lot. Being a JD fan, ever try George Dickel? Seem to recall it was a pretty fair sour mash also.

Yes any sour mash, but I see where Jim Beam is being bought by a Japanese firm.

I saw something on the news that 2 US distilleries were being sold to foreign investors, didn't catch what ones they were though.

Glenfidditch 12 year... While ordering a Scotch and Water at my wife's Christmas party actually had a young female bartender ask me 'Whats in that?"

So Rich, did she remind you of Jack's young 'Social Media Intern' in this latest Jack in the Box commercial?...

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I'll leave out the Boones Farm, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, Sex on the Beach, MD 20-20, Hunch Punch, etc. days.

Water now, but back when I did drink, somewhat responsibly, it was always Jim Beam or Jack Black (3 ice cubes, keep pouring until they float). Made me one hell of a bowler. If I was eating anything or hobnobbing with high society, I went with a Vodka Collins.

Boring, huh?

I did have a Cranberry/Vodka concoction once after playing 18 holes in the sun. It was my first alcohol in about 10 years. Kicked my butt! That was about 20 years ago. Now, I get a little flushed on Communion wine.

I gave away all the liquor in my bar closet just a few years ago.

I'm white trash, JD or Beam on the rocks, but I usually don't drink at home.

Me too. Wild Turkey 101 or Maker's on the rocks or mixed with diet ginger ale. I also love various red and rose' wines.

You bourbon guys should try bullet bourbon. Not expensive but good quality.

I'm not much into bourbon, but one that I like is Fighting ****** (the four letter word for rooster that is apparently censored for an alternate use) Bourbon, has a bit different taste than most.

Jim Beam has been sold to a Japanese company.

Glen Breton Rare 10, neat. *(Please don't let your friends EVER drop an ice cube in your single malt!!) If you enjoy Jack Daniels, the GB Rare is matured exclusively in JD casks. Brings the JD nose without the harshness in the mouth.

Balcones 1 Single Malt with a few drops of unchilled water. (Opens up the nose).
