Don't pay as a gift on PayPal unless you know the person you're dealing with. Aparently you have no legal standing if they don't follow through.
PayPal should be built into the price anyway but still, I guess this rip off stuff is becoming a real issue.

I thought pay pal was how people were protecting themself from fraud. There is no end to people being skeezy.

If you purchase goods and pay as such Paypal protects you but if you send them money as a gift then you have no recourse since you gifted the money to them instead of in trade for goods.
