I accidentally stumbled on a site that sells them as brand new. "Same as supplied to submariners". Really dark blue and made out of wool. Giant collar. $200. I keep thinking about buying one. I wore a leather trench coat for years and really enjoyed it. Anybody ever wore such a thing? I'm thinking that its gotta be warm as toast!

Yep I still got my US Navy issue Pea-Coat. Keeps me nice and toasty, and I make it look good!

Years ago, our son wanted a Pea coat so I got him one as a Christmas present. It went mostly un-worn.
Last year I discovered it in a closet. It fits me like a glove - it's mine now.

Schott in New York makes an excellent peacoat, Made in USA and super warm! They aren't too much new and if you aren't opposed to pre-owned you can pick them up cheap on eBay.
I have several Schott jackets; leather, car coat, and peacoat they are all top notch! Quality, the way things "used" to be made...
