I guess Ethanol isn't as good as they thought it was.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

You can't make it to the Convention without first getting enough votes in the Iowa Caucus. Follow the money! Corn dollars = Votes.
Both parties get their panties in a wad anytime a state challenges the order of the Caucus.

Big Oil has made it's way into our lexicon, now I suppose it's time for Big Corn to remain with us.
I miss the days of fuel that you could feel in the throttle.

I usually leery of fuel additives, but my Triumph dealer has been selling Star Tron for a while (since we are forced to use E10 in Oregon). Anyway, I decided to give it a try. The stuff actually works. MPG is up about 10-15% (depending on how I'm driving) over not using any additives in the bikes and the cars. I have a bit more power too.

I know this is a re-post, but I thnk you'd still be better off w/o ethanol at all.

Ethanol is wonderful. Especially when it's made from peat fire roasted barley and aged at least 12 years in primed oak barrels.

The only ethanol I ever had anything to do with.I put about 2/3rds of a tank in a honda VLX I rode for awhile. It was 10%. I got 10% less mileage and it seemed like 10% less power, and the bike ran like I had dirt in the carbs As soon as I filled with regular petrol and the bike ran fine again. 10% ethanol= 10% less.

Some article. Was going to comment, and yet non-rant phrases elude me.

More energy consumed to produce a fuel with less energy. I guess those scientists were correct a decade or so ago when they started warning of the folly.
