Wore out the factory brake pads evenly front and rear at 8,000 miles. Replaced with std EBC pads to save rotor wear and they lasted 6,000 miles.
Guess I'm pushing this cruiser a little hard on those country roads. Proof these Triumphs are some of the best handling fun to ride cruisers out there.

I went from Triumph OEM pads to EBC H Pads and the wear rate was just as quick if not quicker than the OEM pads. However I have since switched to EBC HH pads and they are lasting much much longer. Here's a bit of reading on the EBC HH pads: web page

I'd rather wear out brake pads than engines. But the engine gets a workout to!

I try very hard not to use my brakes. It makes my white walls dirty.

I wouldn't sweat it. A good engine like to work hard. You'd be hard pressed to wear out a motorcycle engine.
By downshifting going into a turn, you're slowing the motorcycle for proper corner speed. Added bonus, you'll be in the right gear for maximum acceleration out of the turn.
As they say, slow in, out with a grin.

This was just a light hearted post about how much fun these Triumphs are and how well they handle for forward control cruisers.
Thanks for the suggested reading fellas.
Being an ignorant motorcycle rider I had no idea how lucky I've been through all these years, miles and bikes without a single accident.
...I know, I'm doomed/jinxed now!
