Sorry, glad you had some good gear on, open face 1/2 helmet would not have been good. Bike can be fixed. for a price. How are you? Sorry to see the damage.

Honestly, I think I took a bad line in a turn, got a touch too much brake and washed out the front end. It probably didn't help that I'm in need of a new front tire. There may have been oil in the turn, Chris and I checked out the scene after and a couple wet spots. He saw the whole thing. I got back from urgent care, nothing broken but my bike and pride. I'll likely be calling in to work tomorrow, I took a good couple hits. Chris said I rolled and spun 360º on the asphalt, and I came to rest on the side if the road with the bike only pinning my foot down. My jacket, boots, jeans, helmet and gloves are pretty wasted but I only have a few scrapes on me. I am hella sore though. Thanks everyone

I was able to ride it home at least. Chris was kind enough to escort me since I had no headlight and it got dark out right after I went down.

I just checked the damage, if insurance is kind, I should be able to come out pretty even on this with new goodies. It's mostly cosmetic, and I have the added accessories insurance so it should cover the custom paint job and all the chrome trinkets and the hard bags and everything

Absolutely I'm glad! I have been in the full-face camp for some years now, I even started wearing an armored mesh jacket in the warm weather, always have my boots on. I think I'm going to have to get some gloves for hot weather riding, my hands would have been shredded! And my pretty face would be a nightmare right now if not for the gear. 
My helmet was close to replacement time anyway, maybe I can get insurance to pay for a new one, and my jacket and boots and gloves too
