Looks like it's getting a real rear fender.

I see nothing special about the spy picture. It looks like a Black T-bird SE that was offered in 2010 in Red. But if the Commander has more touring stuff like hardbags etc. I might take a look see. Right now I am more than satisfied with my Blue/White T-bird. It is running strong with almost 20K miles.

It looks like they're going head to head with Harley for a portion of the highly lucrative touring market. I suspect That it will closely resemble the Street Glide which has the lion's chunk of that market. We can expect a quality sound system and large hard bags since Triumph doesn't typically dip their toes in the water. I'm giddy with anticipation.

Interesting Ed, the article stated the tour would be a year or so away while the Road King look will be available in 2014. Which is all just add on's other than the spoke wheels. I'm in the market and I'm curious what your dealer has, so get down there and report back to us already

I am a bit with you on this, i mean what the heck does the thing look like? I would at least want to see pictures of the finished product before i committed, but i might consider saying yes but with a caveat that if the thing is furgin ugly or something the deal is off.

I agree, no pre-order and deposit for me. When the Birds first came out many bought w/o seeing them in person, but at least there were pictures. Our old friend Bigjack had a pre-order model.

Did the dealer know if it's the full fairing dresser version or the other one with a windshield and leather bags?

Wait. Flag on the play. Your dealer expects you to throw down a grand (non refundable) on a bike that you have never seen a picture of much less in person, something he isn't willing to do either. And he's in the business of selling motorcycles so it sounds like he is not confident he can sell this bike for a profit if he orders one for inventory...strange...
I'd sit this one out until you see the real thing.

not at all I understand it.. he's there to make money.. and also must be compete with other dealers and brands ..why bring something in .. that you as a dealer don't sell well .but if I sell triumphs sport line very well or there classic line very well .. that is what I would order from triumph to sell..
