Handlebar - end-caps?

I have a 2012 Speedmaster. Want to change over the handlebars, but don't know if you can pull out the plugs (into which the screw of the end-cap screws)at end of the bars by the grips. Is it glued in, or can it be pulled out - any advice welcomed, thanks!

nope,the end caps are in there for good. change grips to cover the holes....problem solved

Biltwell just came out with new grips with closed ends. And they're pretty cool to.
