Has anyone installed these recently? I saw posts on them but nothing after they actually did the install?

Was wondering if your happy with them? How's the install portion?

How do you shorten master cylinder push rod if needed (approx 1⁄2”)?

Thank guys!
Lou

I'm also interested in the Norman Hyde kit as that has custom parts (instead of using the stock pieces). Has anyone installed this one?

Thanks

Not the ones frpm Norman Hyde, the ones from Raask (http://www.raask.se/t2.htm).

When installed, you will like them! About 4 inches to the driver and about 2 up, which makes a big difference for going fast on any curvy road...

Instruction that come with them are useless and you need some fabricationskills to mount them. You have to be clear that maintenance will get harder as the pegs are in front of the clutch- and rotorcovers! So deinstalling is need bevor changing anything. And in case of a crash it also will break not only the pegs also the covers.

If you write an email directly to them (not any distributor) they will sell them directly. Did this about two years ago, spent 240 Bucks.

Will do some pics...

Dan

I bought some of the first sets from Desmond.

the install is pretty simple, had to shave about 4mm of the rear master cylender rod but i think he has changed it up a bit, they work well for me, back 2" and down 1"

I had the Norman Hyde, over time they mounting plates flex and bend a little...or may be I push to hard on the pegs in turns...It took about a year for them to bend (a little) I straighten them and they were good for another year

Thanks for the input. How was the install if the Norman Hyde . Looks prett straight forward and easy. Just wasn't Lear on if the master cylinder needed to be moved, etc? Is it just the rod linkage that get changed in that?

Lou

The Norman Hyde was easy to install..the master cylinder moves but there is mounting holes on the plate...They give you everything you need

Very important to point out that the kits are different between 2010 and earlier models vs the 2011 and later models.

We first fitted the Hyde kit to my wife's 2012 Speedy but the brackets flexed badly and eventually the brake pedal broke.

Worked with Des to get his kit updated for the 2011+ models and have it installed and working well. Very strong and simple.

edmspeedmaster &tdragger, glad to know you are still happy with them.

tdragger, will get the updated rod out to you by the weekend. I had Rotator cuff surgery a month ago plus carpal tunnel, all on the right arm and its SORE. The shoulder surgery is worse than my back surgeries for recovery time.
I'm getting more use in my right hand, now i can hold a screwdriver properly and use a hammer without it flying out of my hand after 3 or 4 hits, Des.
