Is it just my imagination or is this reoccurring problem starting to go away. There appears to be a drop in the number of posts related to engines cutting out and running only on one cylinder. We still get the odd one but these are usually related to the older models.

Has Triumph done something to the newer Speedys and Americas to help eliminate this problem? Any comments!

It is an interesting observation. I have noticed that most of the issues were from pre EFI bikes. Have not seen as many on the newer bikes. Then again from that little poll we only have about 10% of our population here with newer than a 2010.

Maybe they changed it. It does seem less frequent.

I got a factory replacement CDI (gill) some years back after my original crapped out. Never had any issues with it after. I just assumed they had fixed whatever the defect was.
