I finally managed to quell my Triumph ache (missing the 270° engine big time) by putting this in the garage last night:

It's pretty much a perfect fit already, some more riding will teach me what needs adjusting. It was such a great ride home...

18K+ miles on it, I'm the third owner. Its in pretty good shape, I've followed or lead it a lot over the past 10K miles. My buddy prefers a "used" patina and rarely cleans any of his bikes. So, I cleaned and obsessed for the better part of four hours and this is what revealed itself.

Super cool Ed. I love the seat setup and the blacked pipes. It's amazing what a bit of soap and elbow grease can do, eh.
Let's go riding soon.

Larry Shep once told me that he thought the Scrambler handled better than any of the other modern a Triumphs... I think he owned and rode them all, so I believed without question.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

I think it might as far as the retro line of Triumphs goes. The frame is just slightly taller than the Bonnie so the foot pegs are just perfect and not cramped. It's much quicker to turn in because of the neck angle and it has the 270° engine which I very much prefer over the 360°.

I agree, I much prefer the blacked out pipes. The steel or chromed ones are the only aspect that I normally don't quite like on the Scrambler.
She's a real beaut Ed ... Enjoy!

Once we recover from our house fire I hope to put it to good use. Danged electrical outlet set a wall on fire Sept. 12th and everything's parked until we get back in the house.

Truthfully I've been keeping it low key, seemed like the easiest path. I've got a great insurance agent so other than a lengthy stay at the Holiday Inn Express I don't have any complaints. Mrs. Turner, both dogs and the three cats weren't injured and the house is still standing. The firemen did the most damage chain sawing thru floor to put out the smoldering crawl space and since they chopped up a load bearing wall we can't live there until repairs are completed. Maybe three more weeks.

Wowzer, sounds like some serious damage to me and a possible long recovery time until the repairs are completed. Again glad everyone is ok and no motorcycles were damaged

Maybe after I get the house rebuilt. Until I get Mrs. T moved back in I won't be doing any bike riding.

That's a very cool looking Scrambler. I like the Gray and Green colors on the tank. The blacked out mufflers add that extra killer look.

Very nice score.

The combination of engine and pipes makes this, in my own personal preference, the best sounding bike!

Enjoy the rides!
