Ha! The Duc sold yesterday clearing the path for a new-to-me Triumph. I realize it's neither America nor Speedmaster but it does have the same fine 270° engine and lot more in common with this forum than that other place...
A mildly used 2007 Scrambler, locally owned by the "other" Triumph guy in town. Pictures to follow when it is safe in hand.

Enterprise Alabama? I was just down there, actually at Ft. Rucker AL at school for 5 weeks. I spent the first week in Enterprise as there was no open billeting at Rucker. I envy all you southerners as you get a lot more riding time in than us northern folk.

Does this mean you start practicing to emulate the scene in "The Great Escape" ala McQueen?

Hey, when a buddy tells you he wants to buy your bike, believe him. Don't do this: I went out to see it last night and it was half disassembled. He'd been preparing to sell it on the open market and was selling the accessories on eBay and rat.net. Sheesh...lost out on the Arrow exhaust, the solo seat and the Pelican cases and who knows what else? At least the skid plate and stone guard were still on the bench. Bonus, I get to put in a tech day next Tuesday when I get back from Scranton to reassemble it so I can ride it home. Quote:

No but I'll be wearing my Bud Ekins jersey at some point...

Damn, that really sucks! I hope he's gonna reduce the price. I mean what kinda "friend" does that. I'm sorry but I'd be kinda pissed!

It seems to be the collision of OCD and PTSD and some days he just can't control himself. He's been told before that his tools belong in a river...

Yup, I started working for a Radar Company last month and they are based in Enterprise.

It only took an hour or so to reinstall the exhaust system and rehang the oil cooler and zip tie a few things up. Took longer to magic up a solution for the rearmost silencer hanger, missing, maybe went with the aftermarket exhaust that was sold. Then a brisk ride back for a thorough cleaning maint. check. There's a Triumph back in my garage and I feel calmer already. The picture thread
