Wondering what the concentration of bikes on the forum are.
I can't edit the poll. 4 sections 02-04 05-08 09-10 11-12
Is what is was supposed to look like.

I screwed up one area in 2009-11 disregard the 08 and look to the right. I bunched them a bit because of trending technologies and interest over the years along with fuel injection. I think most of our bikes will be 05-08. I may be surprised. If you have more than one pick one. I know that question is in the wings someplace

I'm begining to think an 790CC, 865CC pre EFI, 865CC EFI option would have been a better poll for the knowlege you wish to gain. Not excluding the 904, 988 or 1087 options but based upon OEM config. But there again I'd still have to choose twice.

Ya, but the second last choice is 2009-2011.
2011 is listed twice.

I had the feeling we have a lot of older bikes represented on BA.com. So far its looking that way. I set the poll to run a week to get a feel for it. Maybe Moe can fix the poll years so they make sense lol. Mat I thought about Pre-EFI but also wanted to know what percentage we have from 2011 to current. I am thinking for some reason we are not attracting the newer bike owners. Had no way of knowing without a poll. Judging from the years I screwed up you can tell I put great time and care into this endeavor.

Or one cutey wearing just a great Triumph labeled thong bikini (some of you on FB know what I speak of!!). I wish I knew where Dean found that pic.

Ron, I'm thinkin' here whatever figures you end up getting with your poll, that they won't be representative of any actual sales trend of our bikes, and primarily because those who will participate in it would tend to be we who have had our machines for many years and who have stuck around at this website all these many years, also. I have noticed many instances lately were "newbies", who I suspect might have just purchased a new BA/Speedie, will create a BA.com membership for themselves, but who will go months before participating in any conversations at BA.com, and then in just a very limited manner.
(...yep, in this case I would guess you'd have to factor in a "Margin of Error Rate" of some "+ or - 40%" or so, and thus making the results anecdotal at best)

Oh, you mean that TWO-THOUSAND-TWO model year bike of yours, Grzegorz??? (...it would go under the FIRST column up there, THAT'S where...and similarly to how I "voted" MY 2002 BA that I purchased in November of 2001!!!)

Yeah Matt! That has always seemed to be Grzegorz's little "stumbling block" when it comes to his understanding of vehicle production being designated by MODEL YEAR!!!

Though in Grzegorz's defense(or as they spell that word over there: "defence"), I DO understand that in Ol' Blighty the term "model year" is sometimes as foreign to 'em as the term "Sacrifice Bunt"!!!

Hey Grzegorz, I KNOW your English has vastly improved over the years, BUT do me a favo(u)r and look up the word "implied" in one of those Oxford Dictionaries over there if ya would.
(...and as in the idea that whenever someone asks you "What year is your vehicle?", it is "implied" as to what MODEL YEAR it is, and NOT when the hell it rolled off the freakin' assembly line NOR when you originally purchased it...though yeah, I can NOT deny your claim that I've ALWAYS been a "smart ass", and so at least you are correct in THIS regard anyway!)

Grzegorz just pick one, as you use that special math. 2002 may be the closest though. Well, Dwight I have two questions really. 1. Why are we not getting the newer bike owners. There is huge information available here for the new owners. And/or 2. Are the new ones just not selling. I think it has a error factor of less than 35%

At first I was going to blame it on our difficulty a few months back in understanding the Hipster generation.
Then Matt brought up the Menage a' trois and now I'm scratching my eyes out.

If THAT'S all it takes to "scare people away", then do we REALLY want people THAT lily-livered hangin' around here in the FIRST place???

And btw Ron, I suppose I could live with that 35% + or - error figure of yours there. (...though I'm really only 50% sure that you're right about that!)

I hope you voted in the 2012 section then.
Dwight I think you fail to realize that 68.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot anyhow.
I wonder if we are not getting the EFI bikes in large numbers because there is not that much to do with them. For our first years there was a whole lot about getting rid if the snorkels, jetting the carbs to balance with the pipes etc.
The EFI bikes are more of a do it and map thing. Other than styling maybe we are less of a value to those guys. The social part could be a draw though.
huh, oh, but there is the the DIG issue. Dwight, Ian, and Greg. Maybe we could hide them til the person gets comfortable here. Then SLAMB! Bring all three into one thread and watch the member run for cover.

Even though some have two bikes we are about 90% 2008 or older. Is it the EFI that makes us not attract members with the newer bikes?

Well for me it was the EFI that made me want an "older" bike. See it was 2009 when I bought my 07 brand new, had to do some hunting of course, but I wanted carbs and the "cool" tank.
