They are called intake runners according to the parts list and they slide into the airbox where they are glued. The glue or cement that seals the hose into the box is deteriorating. Has anyone else noticed this? I am going to seal up maybe 1/2 inch that can definitely suck in some unfiltered air with some sealant on the right carb side. I can't see the inside though, and wouldn't have caught the outside had I not taken off the rt chrome cover. I spose from here you would pull out the box and re-glue it or just eliminate the whole airbox if it got worse?

There is that stuff they sell called Plumbers Goop, which is very good. Same stuff?

No clue, if it is the same stuff. I have used the Marine and shoe repair goo-goop, whatever, with good results.
