Good one Keith, or the Beatles "Ticket to Ride" or was it dickey do ride I haven't tried to play a 33 rpm vinyl backwards in years. My parents would ask me for translations, not wanting to violate the youth/adult world DMZ I was no help whatsoever. Lyrics like that do provide a reason for the word "unintelligible" to exist. Louie, Louie being the benchmark jh

A friend in my youth, for so many years, bashed us with "On a dock, there's a highway" .... until he found the right wording... and then.... oh the sweet revenge that has lasted ...hmmm .. to this day!

Edir ot tekcit is Ticket to Ride. We worked on backwards stuff forever on different songs. It was always a disappointment lol.
I still have that on Vinyl I think. The Earthband, Manfred Mann.

If your father was WWII generation, you will know that song, as well as the "Silver Dollar" song or it's many variations.

This is one of those songs I don't want to hear often, but when I do, I want to listen in total ambient silence. Like Hendrix, Skynyrd, etc.
Now, I'll never forget this version. Curse you!

"Magic" by Pilot Ho, ho, ho It's magic you know Never believe, it's not so It's magic, you know Never believe, it's not so When I first heard this song, I was shocked. Being 14 years old and in the station wagon with the clan, what I heard was, "It's my dick, Never believe it's not sore"...Only today have I googled to find the real lyrics.

"wrapped up like a douche, you know the runner in the night" E Street band was from Jersey and then Van Zandt plays Silvio in The Sopranos. It still makes sense to me.

The kids version of the Australian national anthem ...
"Advance Australia Fair" Misheard Lyrics:
Australians all own ostriches Four minus one is three. With olden royals, we're fair and loyal Our home is dirt by sea. I learned to bounce on nature strips In booties stitched with care. In mystery's haze, let's harvest maize And plant azaleas there. Enjoy full trains and let us in And dance Australia yeah!
Original Lyrics: Australians all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea Our land abounds in Nature's gifts Of beauty rich and rare In history's page, let every stage Advance Australia fair! In joyful strains then let us sing 'Advance Australia fair!'
Cheers, Richard ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 09 America, Staintune Pipes, K&N, Breathe, Hagon Nitros, AI & O2 removed, tune 20184 (modified), MTX-L a/f gauge

Circa 1979. Poem by Shel Silverstein, published in Playboy. a line... "And the great things he wrote while he was stoned looked like sh*t in the morning light." May 'splain a lot of these here lyrics we been seein'. Long poem, but worth it, funny and tragic, it speaks volumes about human nature. Triple dog dare ya to read it! http://crazcowboy.tripod.com/Silverstein/high.htm

Every time this song comes on the radio, my wife and I sing the alternate lyrics! I'm ruined!

I know going OT is highly discouraged around here, but the advert I got before this Quote:

was this. Which I thought was kinda cool
And strangely, I could make out the lyrics on that one
