I will be replacing my 09 Speedmaster tank with a 2012 Thruxton tank. So I need to relocate the indicator lights that I'll lose from the chrome overlay. The only option I can find at the moment is the Joker Machine riser below. Dont get me wrong its pretty much exactly what I want but the holes need fabbing to fit and the wiring will need to be spliced (as its designed to plug and play for Harley). http://jokermachine.com/products/triumph/led-handlebar-clamp.htmlDoes anyone know of any options designed for Triumph that would be straight bolt up??? Or even a set of indicator lights that can maybe be placed over the speedo or something? Cheers

Are the Joker risers spacing 3-1/2" center to center? If so, it can be easily made to fit with 1/2"-10 mm transition bolts, or just enlarge your tree H.Bar Riser holes from 10 mm to 1/2", as the most common Risers out there, mount on with 1/2" bolts anyway..

Erle: I did think of something like that but I wanted to keep the original speedo (with original klms) would be better for resale... thoughts?
Ryk: Spot on and they can sell me the sleeves that be be put inside the riser once fabbed to accommodate the 10mm bolts its just the slicing the wires that gets me. Im trying to keep all the mods simple so I can return it to stock if/when I decide to sell it.

With a Thruxton tank, I don't believe the resale value would be further affected by any other minor mods. But for what it worth, I NEVER part with, or modify, ANY of the original parts/pieces.
They are usually wrapped and hermetically sealed, and stored in the attic. JUST IN CASE I ever decide to sell. By the time I do, mine will be vintage, worth more in unmolested condition, with no (or minor) wear, and I'll separately sell all the other items latter. I've done this with my '72 H2, cause I don't want damage OR wear on the original parts, AND I want it modified like the ones I had in the '70's.
Contact that vendor, he will tell you if the original speedo will work, or if he has a bracket that it will work with.
I, like you, do want to keep the original speedo, and keep the mileage correct.

Not for nothing, I've talked to D9 before and he doesn't make anything for the America's or Speedy's. This is what I did. Made it out of a thin piece of metal and an old backing off the idiot lights of a bonnie. I asked the dealer if he had any take off speedo stuff around and he gave me a few bits. This is actually the first attempt. I remade it so the holes were straight, haha. All I used was a dermal and a drill. Wish I had a better picture to show it, but the lights are enclosed so I don't have wires hanging out and keeps the wet off it. edit: full disclosure, I asked D9 about a bracket prolly over a year ago now so things could be different.

I have the joker riser w/lights you're talking about. The top riser needs to be drilled out slightly, the material is very soft and easy to work with. As for wiring, nothing special there either, you just have to get creative with how you want the wires hidden.
