I actually saw cord on Vera's rear tyre while she was in my garage! That precipitated shopping for rubber.

Motorcycle Superstore
American Motorcycle Tire
Dennis Kirk
Tires Unlimited (there website is 'under construction')
and the winner was Bike Bandit

Bikebandit: Metzeler ME880 170/80-15 $139.95.

btw the triple eights dawned in early 2013, and at $180.95 per tire, well, there you have it! Or should be getting it. The 880 that is. huh?

One thing about the bandit: they no longer give AMA 10% discounts on tires.

How about a Senior Citizen discount, or AARP?

I prefer the 880's over the 888's.

I've had GREAT experiences with Dennis Kirk for my tires.

I mainly shop for the wet road handling tires, cause THAT'S what makes my butt pucker, wet roads.

I've grown to like the Avon's for wet conditions, and my Avon's are $145.99 for the 170/80HB-15 Venom on the rear, and $121.23 for the 110/80ZR-18 Storm 2 on the front.

Then my bike shop charges $24.95 ($19.95 the last time) for mounting and speed balance. That IS for carry-in. (OFF the bike)

Free S&H, received in 4-5 days, and both manufactured with-in six months of purchase.

Last one (front) purchased 3/6/2013
