Can I get a clue what this bike might be worth? I paid $4,800 two years ago. 2002, 16,400 miles, pods with re-jet, new tires/battery, sissy bar w/seat, small saddle bag...how would you determine it's value for an asking price?

that's a very nice looking bike. I would look at what similar ones have sold for on eBay.

That's a nice ride! Even if it's pristine with 57 miles on it, it's still an '02 and that's the cold hard truth of it. I've seen bikes like that one go for mid to high 3's. You may want to entertain removing your accessories and going back stock- all that bling won't get you much more, and you can sell all that stuff on eBay or here and make more money. It's an esoteric market you want to pursue. Folks like us know value exclusive of chronology. Good luck. (and I want those chrome rear peg hangers)

Yeah, I suspected the "extras" might be worth more being sold separate but to be honest with you I don't have the desire to go through packing and shipping this thing and that for possibly a few hundred dollars more. I looked on ebay as suggested and currently there are zero BA's for sale (at least the best I could tell) I would just keep it but it is not going to get ridden much if at all, I lost my "guts" if you will. (or smartened up, depending how you look at it) I'll start with an asking price of $3,500 and see where that gets me...probably put it on CL and want ad digest, etc....any offers here? I'm in upstate NY about 100 miles north of NYC, 30 miles south of Albany in Kinderhook, NY 12184

You should have NO PROBLEM getting $3,500 for it. '02-'06 ('07?), their all the same! Some would prefer the '02 over the others. It looks great, and has 16,400 miles! Hold tight, and good luck!
And you may see me tonight

thanks for the words of encouragement, I'm not desperate to sell it (I can cover my mortgage payments just fine, thanks) but I would like to see if I could move it this season...

Just curious, what do you mean? Is this tank stock? I bought this bike pretty much as you see it,besides the extra lights, I did nothing to it.

Triumph changed tank styles for the America/Speedmaster in about 2008. They now hold around 5 gallons and it is kind of flatter and wider. One of the good things I see about the new one besides holding more gas, is the there is no "lip" around the bottom edge of the tank. Some people think they are fugly.

Just yanking your chain. A lot of us on here didn't like the "new style" tank they changed to when they went to fuel injection. The "old style" tank is more retro looking and darn nice! (by the way, I have an 02 also)

How many times did Larry Sheppard R.I.P. sell his bike(s) due to age related concerns? Dernit.

A poem by Dylan Thomas: Yes, rage against the dying of the light.
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. - See more at: http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/15377#sthash.8bJFWfS3.dpuf
