Finally decided to post her picture in Member's Rides. Major thanks to everyone in the forum for every tip along the way, for riding as well as tweaking/updating... It's been two great years so far! She's pretty much stock with bags/sissy bar, long TORs and windscreen, but also with the airbox removed, ISO grips, crash bars, tachometer, highway pegs and one or two other small things such as a Speedmaster strap for the battery. These are the "before" pictures, as I will soon be tearing her down to spray some custom paint... Ernie

Thanks! ...spent last night and part of today tearing her down... ...and learned a whole lot more about the bike by taking it apart. Who knew how big the fuel pump is?

Took a couple of days to get her back together, but here she is after the custom paint work... [image] [/image] [image] [/image] Taking the bike apart let me clean some parts that I'd never seen before, too. It's worth noting also that on my bike at least, I had to actually cut the wires (and strip/re-connect them when rebuilding) for the tail-light in order to remove the rear fender. There were connectors for the directionals; they were easy. Best part --- finally riding again! Ernie

Thanks everyone. The pictures (using a Blackberry) don't do it justice. The flames have a touch of white metallic in them and look great in the sun.
...and at first I wanted to put the Triumph tank badges back on, but would hate to cover any part of the flames inside the "teardrop". Think I should put them back on or leave them off?
Thx.

Bike is looking great man! How about a set of the clear badges? They were sixtyeight series or something. They would look bad a%%.

Sweet paint job. Bike looks sharp. It's fun learning things about your bike when you take it apart yourself.
