I've done a straight across bolt on with my buddy's 2006 Scram, using a three pot caliper from a late model Honda. I'll see if I can get him to recall which model that was.

Not to Hijack this in any way, but a guy I work with has a 06 Honda Sabre 1100, looks like a lot of parts should be able to cross over. I know they used the same carbs. And I've always thought the rotors were the same, just not 100% positive.
Replacement. Never had an issue with the factory item but its tatty and crappy and if I can find a clean one of ebay from a different bike that fits straight on then happy days
