I have been having probs wit my stock 06 America shutting down, as others I have seen. I go 5 mi and the motor will hiccup, and sometimes shuts down after a few more miles or more. I got caught in a downpour, my bike hiccupped and I ducked into a parking lot where my bike just died. So a couple hours later I went to start it and it fired right up. My right cylinder head was full of water around my plug, and I noticed bubbles coming up when it started. I have had probs getting the plugs in and out as I don't have a thin socket. I did take a torque wrench and snugged it up a little more, but not to the click. I know that affects my performance in some way, but what about my description? I'll take a link seeing as I was searchin and couldn't it. Thanks and Happy and safe 4th to y'all.

And lightly grease the end 3 or 4 threads with a lightest coat of anti-seize you can. And if you still are running the air injection, you might consider buying a blank off kit and tossing the whole thing. You will find the sparkies a lot easier to deal with.

Appreciate that link. I went to 20nm according to the torque specs I downloaded (Dinqua posted?) from the tech section. I'll look into a thin wall socket so I don't have to go thru this again. I believe the torque wrench helped me when I was rubbing that nicely placed bolt with a regular socket. Used both Seafoam and Lucas ethanol treatment, but I think I may have another culprit in the petcock. I know someone else posted on that, so Ima gonna looky for it and post there. Thanks all.
