maybe you have short at the switch? i thought if the stands down and in neutral it wouldn't turn over at all.

Hope I don't confuse us all, including myself.

With the stand up, the CDI finds a ground through the sidestand switch and the engine runs. Lower it and the switch opens, forcing the CDI to find a ground through the neutral switch. If the bike is not in neutral, the engine quits. So the problem is either with the neutral switch or the sidestand switch or related connectors/wiring.

I'm assuming the bike doesn't start in the morning because you are in neutral and your CDI unit can't find a ground through the neutral switch because the sidestand is down and your neutral switch is gummed up a bit (intermittent). When it won't start, does your neutral light work? May have a dirty connection at pin 10 on the CDI unit also.

I'm assuming that your engine always turns over. The problem is "no spark" - right?

Yeah neutral light works.n yeah th engine turns n starts, eventualy.had to read ya post a few times to get it into me head, haha.so,if i disconnect sidestand switch and neutral switch,as above stated,it should be problem solved, yes.

Don't disconnect, jumper them out. You will have no safeties though.

You don't have an alarm system on your bike? That could also be the culprit.

If you get a chance, pull the tank and have a look at the plugin going to the CDI (Ignitor). Check the pins for poor connections.

sorry man it was late when i wrote that. i said the opposite of what i meant to say. you are correct. when it's in gear and stand down it won't start. but my point was you said it was turning over. if the cdi isn't grounded through the side stand switch or neutral switch it shouldn't turn over at all. it'll just do nothing. so if it's turning over and eventually starting maybe it's something like your pick up coil. there's another thread on the first page of general tech titled no spark, what i've found. give that a read.
