 Bigger engine from factory in near future?

is Triumph on something changing design of cylinders? Been today in Triumph shop and ther was brand new T100 with cylinders like this  other bikes still had the old design like one on picture below

there should be no comparison's between the new tbird and our Americas and speedys. Why? the new tbird IS 'sister Sue' in Three Dog Night's - My Old Kentucky Home, whereas our rides are lithe and toned...
