I'm going on a long trip next month and was wondering if there was a good tank bag that fit our bikes. It doesn't have to be big. Just to hold the cell phone, wallet, and some toiletries. Saw the one on New Speedmaster, but it looked kind of expensive.
Thanks,
Ted

Good ones aren't real cheap. ,I have a cortec 10 litre mag bag that has seen quite a bit of use and is holding up well. It holds a good bit,I use it for 6 pack runs and even unexpanded it holds a 6 pack of long necks.Expect to pay at least 100 bucks for a good one.

Make shore you have a very clean tank or put a microfiber cloth under it 'cause they will skarch your tank.

How about the fit over the America console? Seems like it would be letting wind under the bag for an airlift effect. I was wondering if anyone had found a bag that sat closer to the rider, so the magnets made full contact with the tank.

I have quite a large bag that has a zip on top piece as well. It tends to sit on the lower part of the console with out any issues. It never moves. Good strong magnets. Its a Motoline bag.

My cortech sets behind the console with all the magnets hitting metal. as cloudy states, these bags have very strong magnets and even if the console is under the bag it isn't gonna blow off.

NewSpeedmaster.com has a "Little Joe" tank bag that looks about right. I've used an Oxford Sports bag for 9 years now, and it's perfect. But they don't make the same bag anymore....

Google Oxford USA for motorcycle luggage. They show 2 or 3 that might be worth looking at. The magnets on mine are strong enough to have survived a couple of Georgia Rally get-offs.....fits on the tank belowvthevconsole, too, and the magnets are in the bottom, not in protruding flaps hanging off the sides of the bag. I would still be leaning towards that "Little Joe" bag at NewSpeedmaster.com if I had to replace mine today, though....

I got one I picked up from cycle gear a few years back works great. However please follow Wade's advice, it scratched the shite outta my tank. Make for dang sure the tank and BAG (underside) ARE CLEAN!!And use a protcetive cloth.
