I just installed the Hagon 2810 shocks and Hagon progressive springs I bought from Fast Eddy. Wow, if I'd known what a difference they made I'd have done it years ago. Really cancels out the little bumps and makes the big ones less jarring. The front end dive under hard braking is also gone. The old bike feels like new again.

Hagon 2810 shocks are very adjustable you'll just have to ride more often to get to know them even better. Then start all over with a rider on the back.

Good to know. I've been kicking around the idea of a suspension upgrade. Keep us posted on their performance down the road.

I agree suspension upgrades on these bikes makes a noticable difference. I have progressive springs on the front and ikons on the back. The feel in the corners is great.

I also have the adjustable Ikons in the back and vouch for them.
The improvement over stock was incredible and I couldn't go back, or buy a new bike without changing the shocks.

Out of curiosity. Was there ever a discussion here that came to any kind of consensus as to what the preferred upgrade is?

i have the 2810's on my bike and progressives in the front, 2810 are new to me this year, still trying to sort them out, we have pretty bad roads in edmonton so i am at the bottom on the dampning control and one down from center on the pre-load and seems not to bad, still playing with it though.... i never have a passenger on the bike.

You might have too light springs if you're that close to being out of adjusting range. A nice feature about Hagon is the variety of springs available and Hagon's willingness to change them for you. I originally bought a set that wasn't sprung for my heavy butt and the Hagon folks upgraded my springs to match my weight (it did cost me shipping one-way.) The 2810s are a really nice upgrade over stock.

So as Chet was saying, is one better than the other? Progressive, Hagon, Ikon? Or is all just personal preference? I understand Hagon can be odered according to your weight, and I weight about 220. But lets say I get off my arse and drop about 30lbs, would I need new shocks?

I went to the Hagons from Progressive 412s and found them to be an improvement. No Ikon experience here.

Where is the three position spring tension nut set? Middle or lightest and you have the right set.

Went for a 200km ride yesterday and played with the dampening a little for the typical frost heaves that linger on our roads. Backing off a couple notches really smoothed out the bumps.
As other posters stated they will gladly re-spring for you if need be.

Given the amount of rain you've been getting out there Mike you might want to add water wings to the P.O.

Eddy backed off the rebound for me and it helps steady out the ride. Real instructions for these things would be nice.

Just got back from riding the Natchez Trace and Ruthie and I both decided on suspension upgrades for her Bonnie and my America. Southern Mississippi heat has done a number on the roads in down there and it felt like we were getting beaten to death.
It will be money well spent.
So, the consensus is for the Hagons front and rear?

There was a thread about an oil damper in the front end vs progressive springs but can't seem to find it maybe someone else remembers the title. Hagons in back are fine and progressive up front but might have looked at damper had I seen thread prior.

I've been hesitant to press eddy about my order this past week because I need to know how long it takes to ship a set of Hagon custom shocks for my Speedmaster. My card was charged June 11. I was never given confirmation that the items were shipped. I emailed eddy last week asking for a approximate arrival date, got no answer. So.....can anyone tell me how long it took for a set of custom (weight/ride pref/passenger weight and how much) Hagon 2810 shocks. Need to know to justify pressing eddy. I've purchased many things from him. Are they shipped from overseas, from onshore warehouse or eddy's shop. Would appreciate it. Thanks I'll be embarrassed if they arrive tomorrow. But its getting frustrating not knowing.

Ok thanks that helps. I also found out on the other forum, that eddy was a little behind because of a family matter and some new help transition. Eddy personally responding too. I hesitated to call because my hearing sucks on phones. So all is well. andy
