First I gotta say condolences to all who loved Friar. Tried to post there, but must be archived. When I joined, he wasn't just part of this site, he was this site as some of you are still. My 06 cuts out intermittently, stalled when idling and in the middle of an intersection, and started getting hard to start after stopping. Dealer checked it, said he didn't think it was coil related due to some heat test I believe and a quick tweak of the carbs. BTW, they are Preferred Power Sports who I will give a plug to seein Chris only charged me 15 bucks for about an hours worth of work which was prolly only 15 min as the bike was mostly idling. Still could have banged me for more. Oil light came on at end of season in driveway before riding so I just shut it down. I had a drip from some grit in my neoprene washer, but didn't worry about it. I checked it almost daily and thought I was close enough to level, as I had quit drinking . Idunno if low oil is the sole culprit, but my plugs came out hard, which means they went in hard. Took a long time to work them in with goop on the threads. Still doing it after maybe 1/2 hr of riding and when warming up it sounds like it misses once in awhile. Spent a solid hour here searching for tips. Rules out kickstand? I also hit the "tech for newbies" which is where I will start. Do the plugs warrant any other ideas like a hot motor? Didn't see any posts on it. I bought it in 07 with standard AI removed and Dunstall slip ons. I put a UNI filter in with Iridium plugs.

Im guessing ya got a new coil.
have ya tried new spark plug wires?
Depending on what ya used it could be what you "gooped" on the plugs before installing them. Could drip onto the electrode and foul them.
Could be the ecm going on ya. If ya over heated the bike, that pick up coil down in the right side cover could be giving up.

Id see if the plugs are really coming out hard. I found that my socket rubbs on the air injection port and makesit feel like the plugs are coming out hard but if i take the socket offthe plug i can spin them out by hand.

Other than that check to make sure that all electronics are plugged in tight.

And check for air leaks at the carbs. When my vac plugs rot it dies at lights and pops threw carbs.

Thanks, my plugs still come out a little hard, but the anti seize definitely helped. I lightly "gooped" them, so none should have gone in. I rode with a friend, (I got one), and went all of 5 miles and the motor just cut for a sec but kept on running. So I turned back. I may have got scared when I pulled the plugs the last time they came out hard, cuz I just found one original plug and one Iridium in. Oops. Maybe I was still drinking then. So I will try to go with two of the same and see what happens. I dont see any cracks in the rubber, but I will check the screws to snug up. If I wait maybe 10-15 min it will start up again after stalling. I don't hear a vacum at the tank now, but I think I heard one before when I cracked the cap. I squeezed the line to see if there may have been any bug webs. Your bikes fire immediately? Mine takes more than one turn maybe up to 3-4 before it fires when it's warm. If it fires. Then I wait.

Mine goes one two three boomstart. But I have open pipes and such. Right now my ignition cuts out on big bumps for a split second. I think my bike heard us talking. ...

Chad (loco pony) probably knows more than info as far as could stuff goes. But some of us have had issue with the tank vent tube clogging/plugging. Creating a vacuum. Second fuel filter could be a culprit. I would guess different plugs would not be a cause. Hope it helps a little.
Btw kudos on being a Stillers fan. Born and raised in the 'burgh here.
