Come on, who has actually used a flyscreen on an America/Speedmaster, and how did it work? Did it keep the rocks out of your teeth or not? I'm currently using a summer screen, and I like it, but I'm thinking in the summers, a smaller one might be nice.

I've not seen any installed except for in the catalogues. Maybe they're the motorcycle equivelent of thong bathing suits - for men. "Real" men like more coverage...

Only where bathing suits are concerned. When it comes to flyscreens, real men go naked!

I'll be getting one in the next month or two. I'll let you know what I think at that point in time. Personally, I have no interest in putting on a large shield.

I have one, I also got a Nolan n41 outlaw helmet. it has a flip up face shield. The combination works fine. The flyscreen helps the wind pressure on the chest and the helmet stops bugs and debris. The flyscreen was a snap to install and looks good.

I know that Speedracer has one that he uses once in a while. And BrianPDX has one as well.

So it sounds like the flyscreen won't keep the rocks off my face? That might be a little more "old school" than I had in mind on a thousand mile ride with an open-face helmet.

I have one on my speedmaster pics in my gallery it does its job in that it pushes more air than you'd think upwards, makes the front of the bike much neater imho.
hmmm funny line to follow

here's mine. i got it from jcw for about 80 bucks. i can't recall what bike i used for the brackets-- seems like it was a valkrie. it might be in the product review section. it's off the bike right now because i like the coverage of the mem fats screen. but the flyscreen does help some: it moves the air off the chest right to your forehead, at least in my case. i think it also keep the bugs off you a bit. cat

I had one and it does deflect a little of the wind hitting your chest, enough that it's noticable on the highway. I got rid of it when I decided to get the light bar. I didn't think the two went together.

Check out Givi Airstars A601 I put one on my SM last fall, works great. Simple handlebar mount, about 16" high so its taller than most fly screens. Got mine from twistedthrottle.com 90.00 Mark
