Anybody have any advice for removing Thruxton tank badges without trashing them? There doesn't appear to be any sort of screws like on my speedy.

They are glued on with 3M auto weather seal adhesive, if that helps? Come to think about it, as you have access to the inside, perhaps a heat gun to the inside while prying might work, go slow with the heat..

I've read (here or somewhere) to use fishing line to cut through the adhesive tape, much like cutting through the seal & adhesive used to hold car windows in place. A "String saw" if you will. Told it won't affect the paint or badge.

#1, Erles suggestion makes a lot of sense.

I would use a heat gun on low f9or about 10 to 15 seconds at a pop and try it. The fishing line works too but still have to get the tape off. There is also a bumper sticker spray that works, it is a solvent that won't harm paint.

I've debadged every car/truck I've owned since 1975. In addition to the fishing line, heat gun, hot sunny day ideas, I have a plastic putty knife (Dollar store) and a can of Goof-Off handy. Take your time and go slowly.

dental floss works even better than monofilament and you can floss your teeth afterwards you need to floss and brush your teeth and tank badges

Any glue that stays on. WD-40 will remove it well. Then wax or polish after. + 1 on the fishing line / of floss .
