Wild bastards. He did nail the biker types pretty close. He should leave the fat women alone. If he dont like em there are those who do.

Funny how most bigots reveal their true colors early. At the 1:20 mark this remark kept me from wasting another thirty-one minutes

"...Here in America, well, the queers are on scooters and the woman are on scooters..."

Whats wrong with queers?
At least here in Houston most of your so called "mods" are gay. Hey their having fun with it so (I almost said rock on, but.....) more power to em.
If its the word queer, well they dont have a problem with it so why should we. I saw a scooter the other day with a sticker that was rainbow and it said free and queer. Didnt bother me one bit.
Personally I think we worry to much about that crap.

That video offended my wife because they said fat women. To which I replied women that are fat are fat women, and thats ok. If they are happy it Suits me right down to the ground.

Ok I though I was gonna be able to leave this alone but Im pretty pissed about the hypocracy. In another thread the term red neck was used to say that a red neck didnt have the refined taste required to like starbucks. No one came out banging on about how bigotted that is. Just because a fella is a blue collared working man, he dont have refined taste enough to appreciate a mass produced, over priced, cup of coffee.
You are going to have to learn there are many people in our society and they all fit in to our collective culture some where. You are gonna have to learn that we are going to have to incorporate them into our daily conversation. And your gonna have to learn to be honest about it and that its not an insult to call a redneck a redneck or a queer a queer. You are going to have to learn that you are bigoted if you get offended on behalf of one group but not the rest when you percieve they are insulted.

Depends on context. Used by a non-gay it's a pejorative, used by a gay person it's empowering.
Just like racial epithets that are OK for a member of that race to use but if you're not of that race, be careful.
Or like when Friar John would call other members of the site "chucklehead", being one himself it was cool. In fact we can all call each other chucklehead
Or overweight comedians poking fun at themselves but it's not at all cool for "normal" weight people to ridicule obese people.
I could give many more examples but I think the point is made.

I'm a blue collar worker and am DEFINITELY NOT a redneck. But then it depends on the perception. Most who would define themselves as rednecks don't find the term insulting at all.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Red neck was a term coined to oppress Irish immigrants. Poor people who came here from Ireland as share croppers , and indentured servants. So its just as bigoted to use that term as it is to use any other racist term.
By definition if you are of Irish decent and a working stiff you are a redneck.
All that negative stereotype is the same as other racial stereo types. The product of hate filled bigoted oppressors.
But so not my point. My point is what you said about certain words being empowering when used with in the group and insulting comming from out side. We gotta get over that garbage if we are going to progress past bigotry, and hypocracy.
I am a redneck by definition and when a person uses it in a negative way I know they are something worse. They are a sour bigoted hate monger. Im just from Irish share croppers. So yes my friends use it as a badge of honor and when it used as an attempt at insult it only is more so. Cause I know my mom's side of the family came here as share croppers and carved out a nich in this land against hateful elitists.
The same should be with all such groups.

Hey, call me what you will but I know what I am. I have many bloodlines running thru my veins, none of them "blue" but altogether golden. I rarely take offense to someones opinion, I don't see the point. Why should I get upset for someone else's big mouth. Sure stereotypes are in existence for a reason, but when it comes down to it everyone is an individual, and should be treated as such.
I think I had some more profound words of wisdom to share but I forgot what I was going to say.

Anyway sticks and stones....

Cause to me words don't matter that much, like I said call me what you will.
But act out toward me, my family, or friends and be prepared to get Pimp Smacked, Jaw Jacked, Knocked-the-F-out, Beat Down and Pi$$ed on, maybe even scalped, wait... I got involved in a video game with my son and lost my train of thought again.

Love, Peace and Chicken grease.
BTW, I've had friends or acquaintances in almost every group, click, ethnicity, race, and religion, you could think of and they all have two things in common: 1; They ARE human at the very basic level of their existence, and 2; they all have opinions they feel they HAVE to share with other humans wanted or not.

I agree with your points Chad. I don't think we'll ever get over it though; as human beings want to think that their own particular (insert here) is superior to all others and so make up labels in an attempt to dehumanize or subjugate others. Or just to puff themselves up.

Also, I've heard several different ideas about the origin of the term "redneck", and like I said, those that I know who consider themselves rednecks are proud to claim the name.

Whats wrong with queers? Why ask? When anyone talks in terms such as that, ahem, gentleman on the youtube vid, I choose not to listen. THAT was my point above. No judgment as to the morality of any lifestyle.

I were refering to the term "queers" not the gay folks.

Its ok to call them fellas on that video what they are ........biker trash. They will gladly acknowledge the fact. They are a pair of white trash, rednecks, dipped in motor oil. But thats ok too . They are doing their thing. They still pretty much nailed most of the motorcycle rider types.

Moe there is no doubt that you are a good guy. One of the best.
I just wish we all could just get past being hurt over terms used to describe any given demographic. So what if there are queers on scooters, red necks, biker trash, yuppies, hippies, goths, gear heads, greasers, rockers, mods, bible thumpers or bohemians. It makes the world an strange and wonderful place.

Well Bill, my whole thing is freedom. Its all I want, so I am willing to give it for my part to all comers. I find the more freedom given to those around me the more I seem to be free, and I like it that way. So shine on you crazy diamond shine on. It makes my world sparkle.

I liked your comment it was quite true. Many are not free enough to admit that the pc play book has suppressed them. You on the other hand saw it and broke its bonds over you.

Moe, yes Really! Upon reflection I would say that your "edit" of my post proves my point. When the purported "feelings" of the most hypersensitive and perpetually offended are given priority over honest discourse then that discourse ceases. We've entered an age where the cry "I'm offended" too often ends discussion and when calling someone a "bigot" is the first recourse of the intolerant. Anyone who doesn't like my comments? Tough!!! Perhaps I gave you too much credit and assumed you were a grown up.

I didn't know any Irish settled in the South. I'm Irish to the bone (in fact my son is in Ireland as we speak and all my kids have lived there at some point). Irish immigration is generally the story of their moving to, and being oppressed in, northeastern America.

The most easily and quickly offended people in America are any of the talking heads on Fox 'News'. Everything offends them (but them).
