When I bought my 2007 America, it had the Triumph optional touring seat that my daughter (and frequent pillion) declared it "Squishy and Delightful". I have ridden 500 mile days on the seat but since getting the big touring Yamaha have come to love a backrest. Knowing that no aftermarket backrests fit with that seat, I was within minutes of pulling the trigger on a $600+ purchase for a new seat, when I decided to send FastEddy an email to check one more time. Behold, the new Pro-tac that Eddy has commissioned for the Speedmaster with gunfighter seat fits the America with the touring seat. So far on short rides I am very happy, will have to queue up a long ride to check it out.

never had a backrest before but since i got one of these, its hard to be without it. also got mine from Eddy (funny story) used and after having it now for for this long it is still like new. very happy with mine i am sure you will be too.

I got one from Eddy as well, to go with my Maverick seat, perfect match, at least for me.
