So today I was asked to call Spitzies on behalf of the Bennington Bash to pick up door prizes. I spoke to the GM, he gave me a major attitude, and told me that they never say and of my people last year. I did not go last year. I sead oh i'm sorry its my first year going. He sead I guess we can give you a gift card and a T-shirt you can pick them up Thursday night or Saturday. I sead that doesn't give me much time I work nights. He sead well that's when so and so is here. Well need less to say I cant get out there to get the stuff and don't want to. I was going to bring a friend with me to pick the stuff up who has a lot of interest in a 800 tiger. I will bring him to Syracuse now. This isnt the first problem I have had with them a few years ago I call to get a oil change done. I was told I had to leave it. I live 45 mins away I'm not going to leave a bike over night for a oil change. This just sealed the deal for me. I will probably tell every one I can at the bash about how bad they are as well as putting this here and on the rat forum. Do dealers relives there costumers make or break them. never been treated so bad ever.

From what you've told us ... ... The dealer was pissed at something that happened last year (it is unclear what occurred and whether he was justified) ... ... he STILL offered to give you free door prizes ... .... the timing to pick up the prizes wasn't convenient for you ... .... at one time his workshop bookings (or policy) meant your bike couldn't be serviced immediately. I don't see how any of that deserves a public black listing. Just to be clear, I am no friend of dealers.

A lot of it was in The tone of his voice I was bothering him. They could have worked with me on a oil change. They did not even want to work with me. I come from costumer service jobs I would never treat a person with money in hand the way they did.

Whatever the issue, I couldn't find the dealer you were criticizing. So your rant in essence, is in vain. A private affair of the mind so to say. Dealerships do some awkward things. At times too, awkward is a kind word. Snafus and misunderstandings are one thing. Outright thievery are another. Sounds like this mystery dealer is the former. Oil Change? Really? Get yourself a 13mm wrench and do it yourself. No stand, no oil filter wrench. Just a pan and a torque wrench. Oh yeah and some oil and a filter. Washer? omg what a riot...
Bad/disreputable dealerships have an easy time following the Dodo into history. Two words come to mind regarding any dealership: Caveat Emptor. Let it lie. Having a questionable dealership close by is betterer than having a good one 300 miles away. (if only for parts).

Rarely do I ever see a dealer again once the bike has been purchased. If I do something has gone horribly awry.

I find it interesting to find a Hardly dealer selling Trumpets. I have nothing against the idea, cause, while I tease HD owners, I like them ok. Friendly rivalry, we all know that. But I gotta wonder how seriously the Trumpets are sold in this dealership. With most HD enthusiasts having a negative, terrible "other bike" mentality, I'd like to see how this dealership handles the rivalry. Are the Trumpets hidden in the back, out of the way? Just seems like a strange marriage to me.

In my experience, Triumph bikes are the one bike Harley folks tolerate, if not admire. Only reason my bike ever gets slammed by my HD friends is when it receives more attention than theirs.
I would be unstoppable if not for law enforcement and physics.

In Woodstock, IL, the HD dealer just picked up Triumph. The guy working in the Triumph shop said it has divided the store pretty strongly(funny thing, isnt it?). He also said that they are getting a lot of calls from all over the area, and its from people who are sick of MCC in Villa Park, which doesnt surprise me, as they are arrogant d*#@s(they live for their MVs and Ducatis and non cruiser Triumphs), so I hope this new dealer does well, as I not fan of the MCC either.

Seems odd that if you click on their Motorcycles link, you only get HD. To find Triumph, you have to go to About Us and then click on Spitzies Eurosports to find the Triumphs. The Moco must have a strong hold on their dealers.

Not all of them. Ray Price Triumph/Harley-Davidson is an exception. I purchased both my America and the Sportster new from them. They have a excellent dealership and most importantly outstanding staff. Must be doing something right as they have been the top selling Triumph dealership in the nation. Located in Raleigh NC. they have just opened a new Triumph dealership in Fayetteville NC. LINK
