Hi ,

hope my english will be enough to explain you my "problem".

Yesterday I discovered that I don't have the same pressure coming out form the exhaust. There is more "power" from the left one at idle speed .

My bike is a EFI speedmaster with TORS map and trident exhaust system.

Does someone would try this on his EFI and tell me if he have the same phenomenon.

Many thanks !
David

How did you measure the pressure? There is a crossover pipe before the mufflers so the pressure should always be about the same. I don't know the Trident mufflers or their internal configuration but if there is a big difference then I would think there is a blockage in one and/or a big leak in the other.

Also welcome to the forum.

Cheers, Richard

When you start the bike do both header pipes get hot at the same rate? or does one stay cold?

Hi ,

many thanks for answers.

My bike had only 2500km on odo so i don't believe in piston ring. Also I didn't measure pressure but just take ma hand behind exhaust and really feel a difference.

Trident exhaust are really empty so I don't think there is a blockage in one. But a leak is possible, I'll check for this and let you know.

Regards.
David

Hi ,

I tried to :
invert the left and right baffles : no change
remove baffle from exhaust : no change
remap with the original map : no change
reconnect AIS : no change

I'm still feeling a stronger output from left exhaust.

David.

You never told us if both headers get hot at the same time, that could indicate a miss or not. Could a mouse have built a nest in one of the pipes?

Your problem is at idle. What about at higher revs?

Your bike is under warranty - get the dealer to check it out.

I did this test this morning. Both headers get hot at the same time/speed.
There is nothing in the pipes.

At higher revs I can't feel if there is a difference. maybe not ..

Also I called 2 triumph dealers and they said it may be normal to have a difference but are surprise I can feel it with my hand.

Also yes my bike is under warranty, I'll ask to my dealer to confirm everything is ok.

David
