...but I always wanted one. I live in the city, where even a Toyota Tacoma or Ford Ranger are a Pain in the A-- to park, I wanted four doors, all wheel drive and we already own a Forester that we really like so...

I wanted a BRAT years ago, the BAJA is sweet. Subie's are everywhere in the mountains. That AWD is impressive.
ENJOY!

Its a good thing you don't ride a Harley. Don't think it would fit in the back.

Nothing I dread more than to be behind a country-living lib in a subaru wagon. Slow-poke driver demographic.
Only thing worse is a beige Buick on Social Security day- heading in to town to eat at Cracker Barrel.
I can see where that little truck would fit right in to a person's need. My dog would love the cargo area.
No matter how Cynical I become, I can never keep up.

They only made them four years, 2003-2006. The new brat called a Baja or what I call the Japanese El Camino. Not as useful as a real truck, but for most lawn and garden, and and other things it should be good. The all wheel drive is nice around here. I got the bed extender too, not quite big enough for the bike though.

I like it and would have one myself. Perfect vehicle (AWD) for light cargo (camping and fly fishing stuff) and great gas mileage for driving around town.
'06 TBA - Black, AI and Snorkel removed, K&N Drop In, Gutted Stock Pipes, 145/42, 2 turns out.

I threatened my wife that I was gonna bolt some seats in the back. She was not amused.

Sorry for the sidetracking here Brent, but your purchase of the Baja here reminds me of what a shame it is that Pontiac folded their operations just about the same time there was talk of them importing those neat Australian-built Holden UTEs with some Pontiac styling cues grafted on 'em.
(...I don't know how well they would've sold here, but I sure would have been interested in one, being a former owner of a '69 El Camino...I loved that car..err..truck)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

My Father is selling his freshly restored '64 El Camino, if you are interested Dwight? I really like those Holden Utes too. For us city dwellers, there is quite a use for a small car with a truck bed. I also need to haul a child, so I need a back seat that can hold a car seat. I wonder if they were marketed wrong. The ads seemed geared at 20 somethings. Mostly, they seem more practical to 40+ somethings, and they are the ones who seem to compliment it. Kinda like my motorcycle.
