What's the most comfy seat you have used on your America for long distance rides?

I like the stock solo. A gel insert covered with memory foam would be cool but not needed. It isn't just the seat, the bar position, how wide or narrow, the angle of the grips, the position of the foot pegs and ability to change positions if your definition is the same as mine for long distance. To me that would be NE PA to Orlando Fl in a days ride. My pegs are close enough I can put the back of my ankles on kind of like putting my feel up on an automan. You really need to couple all that with the seat that is best for you for disance rides.

I used a HD Circulator seat pad on the stocker for a few years. Big improvement in hot weather. Now, I'm on a Corbin. Still use the Circulator in hot weather. I am NOT a high mileage rider though. 200-300 is a day ride for me. http://www.bikernet.com/blog/?p=12792

I m a big boy (300#) and 6-0 tall. I had a seat built by Richs Custom Seats... No comparison between that and anything else. Yes, I had a Corbin and it was good but not right for me. I rode on Karen's seat modified by Spencer's (a great day to ride) but I'm too fat and it didn't help at all. I have also recently. Tried an Airhawk because I could. I rank them as follows: 1- Richs 2- airhawk cushion on OEM seat 3- Spencer's 4- Corbin 5- OEM seat

Most comfortable? Corbin. Least comfortable? Corbin.
Having three, each has its own feel. They are not all alike.

Interesting stuff guys. Lots fewer options for these bikes than there are for my V-Strom.
Question on the Corbin: can you use the stock passenger pillion with the Corbin custom seat, or do you need to swap out everything? It ain't cheap and this would save a few shekels.
I've been using a knock-off bead rider but it's not getting the job done. May have to try an Airhawk or HD Circulator.

Lazy boy recliner bar none.

Third iteration oem pillion with Corbin saddle...no way. Or at least the install is a PITA. I haven't been able to mate the two up.

I have such a set up. Getting the pillion linked up with the back of the Corbin is a bit of a PITA but not so much as to drive you to drinking!

I used Great Day To Ride Spencer's Motorcycle Seat Mods. It was easy, I lowered my seat and added gel for less than the Triumph seat. Just another option.

I'll 2nd BCarnage's post. Had my stock seat done by Spence early summer, 2010, after a cpl longish rides had me wanting a bit better. Have doe 6 and 8 hr rides with it since, and never feel the need to stop till the fuel tank says to. To me, bets bang for the buck.

I have the solo gel. It's not bad - an improvement over stock. It isn't a long-distance seat, at least for me - I have girth down there. Maybe for a lighter person it could be.

Oh, it's a PITA alright but doable. I have such a setup and with a whole lot of persuasion it can be done.
