Wilson's of Fresno has dropped Triumph, but Herwaldt Motorsport a BMW dealer has added Triumphs to there inventory. The distance is almost the same for us, just in a different direction, east of Fresno near the airport. Just hope they have a decent mechanic!

I don't know this as a fact, but it does seem that Triumph, BMW, and Ducati are creating a strategic alliance with their dealer networks.

Locally Ducati departed Triumph dealer when BMW came along but they also have Kawasaki. The son raced on Ducati so I am sure he was not happy to see them go but much more sales for BMWs, now he races on Kawi.

Yep, it seems there are only so many ways to keep a Triumph dealership going for any great length of time. One seems to be as a multi-brand(often all European brand) type, another seems to be the "Baxter Cycle" type by marketing both new Triumphs and older Britbikes, and the third being the "South Bay" type which also specializes in aftermarket hop-up performance parts and service for modern Triumphs.

(...can anyone think of another type here?)

Cascade Moto, in Beaverton, OR, has gone from Triumph/Moto Guzzi, to Triumph only. The whole shop has gone Blue and White. So far, it seems to be working out for them.
