I am looking for aftermarket master/wheel cylinders or information if anyone has rebuilt them. It appears I have either a bad master or wheel cylinder. My rear brake does nothing when fully depressed. I think it has been a gradual thing I have noticed a little at a time.
Thanks

They are easy to rebuild. It almost takes longer to bleed than rebuild.

Where do I get the rebuild parts? I looked at bikebandit and only saw the complete cylinder.

The bandit sells the seal kit or the whole kit. The whole kit has the two square rings, two wiper rings and two pistons. The seal kit has only the wipers and seals. Front/rear no matter.
SEAL KIT, 2 PISTON CALIPER 1389754 $41.16 ($35.46)
PISTON SET 1568178 $84.58 ($67.66) The parenthesis amounts are the real prices paid after taking into account the AMA discount and other incentives. Dang, I should have ordered two piston kits!
FWIW bleeding brakes. Speed bleeder. Gravity. Fill the reservoir and let gravity pull down the fluid. Then use the speed bleeder. Then use the speed bleeder like is wasn't a speed bleeder. Your lever will be tighter than a ...
Seriously after you have most of the air out, pump the lever then crack the speed bleeder, close it and pump it up again. You will get tons of lever.

Moe As always you give good information. Thank you, I was not looking forward to maybe a replacement. I will be taking it apart this weekend.
