Got a 2012 Speedy.

Where do you folks store your registration and/or insurance documents on the bike? I'm not wild about storing it under the seat but if that is the only semi secure place then so be it. Just asking for what others are doing.

Home James. , er in my wallet.

Once you abandon the oem pillion, your wallet is all that's left.

This is where I keep mine.

Just buy a couple of Expandable Rubber Plugs from the auto parts store, and put one in each end.

Watertight and easily removable.

Even then you need to put them in a zip lock baggie or they will get all wet and moldy and when the nice officer looks at them he will get a mold allergy and hack and sneeze all over your bike and that is messy.

That is a cool idea. I'd forgot about the earlier posting on it. Gonna have to take mine out of my front bag and do this!

Super cool idea, Earl. Where is your battery? I like your custom details in the great void.

I have one of those grifter boxes as well. Bought it used from a fellow/former BA.com member. I've always kept the insurance and title in a ziploc type bag inside. Works fine for me.

Seriously, where do ya'll keep your wallet?
Down here, the registration and (although not needed) proof of insurance are two thin pieces of paper which easily fit in a wallet. Where is your driver's license? Why separate the registration from your other papers (driver's License, credit cards, tube glove(s) (for you single yutes)) etc?

Rhetorical question driven by stale starbucks...

As this is my wife's Speedmaster, she doesn't carry a wallet in her back pocket.

My father has used the bike. My youngest owns it. My oldest "steals" it every now & then, and I sometimes ride naked.

With nine bikes & four autos, I find I'd need a separate wallet to carry all of them, and then it would be with me, and not the rider.

The battery is right where it came from the factory.

I like it there!

With the owners manual under the seat. Keep it simple.

I took one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-NORTH-...=item51b35b101d
and painted it black. I put two holes in the back that match the fender mount bolts. The rest is just details. (weatherproofing the holes, a strip of foam between the box and the chrome, spacers to fill the holes in the sissy bar trim, a sticker, etc.)
It's water-tight, small, sturdy, and cheap. (I only spent a buck on the box.)

Thanks everybody!

(I've been lurking here for a few months, and decided to sign up since I finally had something worth saying.)

I'm still trying to get used to having a bike this nice. It feels very strange.
