The triumph was just too small. And not suited well for longer trips withme and the girl. Thanks ryk and and Ian and all the folks who helped out.

Have a good time on that bike. It is nice cruiser. You don't have to leave.

What's wrong with a Thunderbird 1600 or Rocket III? They're not small.

Don't lose sleep over it. We've ALL made terrible choices in our past.

They'll (BA's/Speedies) still be around when you change your mind.

Most people only dream of losing a lot of weight, and not feelin' lethargic most of the time.

I've never heard anything negative said about the VTX 1800, be carefull with all that extra power though. If you are anywhere near Silver Spring I'll let you sit on my America to see what you are missing when I drive it up there this summer to visit my son. Have fun on the VTX.

'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.

My condolences.....

So long as you have fun. Don't forget to pipe up the odd time to let us know how it rides.

If only Harley could clone the other's reliability.

Yeah,or the speed,or handling of either the rocket or the tbird. The biggest clone that harly produces are the riders.

A friend of mine rides a vtx. The downsides for him are fuel economy and difficulty fueling (you have to hold the fuel nozzle at just the right angle, and even then gas seems to end up on the tank).

My wife traded her Honda for a Harley and loves it. Her new Sportster has a hell of a lot more power and the quality of materials fit and finish are superior.

In this case I don't think the "other"being reffered to was the Honda.
