As some of you might remember, I'm blessed with a bike building younger brother. He has been to the AMD world championships at Sturgis with two of his builds, all done in his spare time.

This is his new work in progress. The engine is a Buell 1200 w two front cylinders (!) and then my favourite parts - drum brakes. Front is Norton and rear is Honda.

Ooh, that's gonna look nice, Bengt!

And yeah, I also love the looks of those old drum brakes, though of course they'll never work quite as well as discs do, especially once they get hot and begin fading. But hey, that's not a racer your Bro is makin' there, and so that shouldn't be a real problem.

Nice engine there too! So, ya say it's a Buell with two front cylinders, eh?! Sounds a lot like a Harley XR750/XR1000 or an old Vincent V-Twin engine layout with both exhaust headers flowing forward from each cylinder head.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Ah, twin carbs, too. Should give the finished bit some nice symmetry.

Yes. Two carbs. Next time I'll snap a pic from the right side as well. The exhaust system (ss) is quite interesting as well. Both pipes start forward and then back and up high like the Scrambler. Oh, yes. This time he's building a road legal bike...

So here is a shot from the right where you can see the raw s/s exhaust that (together w the engine) will be smoothed, polished and then glass blasted for a silky appearance. Pretty cool in my book!
