Love that red and black together, always a good combo. My 66 Impala convertible was red and black. I love that they did the frame red.

I don't get it. A bash plate on a road bike?

Reminds me of the Vulcan 1600.

Kinda like last years Black and Orange looked to much like an HD.

I test rode one of the SE's when they first hit the market a few years back, and I have to say those 17 inch wheels transform the handling on the Bonnies. Plus, I think the exhaust system on 'em looks a lot better than on the T100's with that kinked system. And, I still think the blue and white SE's are the best lookin' of all.

(...and yeah John, I don't get that bash plate on a street bike thing either)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

The way I treated my 450 nighthawk it should have had a bash plate. Put mids on anything and I would jump curbs or slid around on a dirt road with it.

Nope Bill. The Bonnie T100 with spokes uses a 19in front and 17in rear tube tires, while the SE version with the cast wheels uses more modern 17in tubeless tires front and rear.

Note here though, it appears for 2013 the Bonneville line nomenclature has been changed a bit. The former "SE" models are now just named "Bonneville" without the added "SE" designation, while the spoked wheeled Bonnies are still called the "Bonneville T100".

The red/black would lend itself nicely to a cafe treatment.
