One of my driving lights went out today, where is the best place to acquire a new one? I believe its a factory triumph light bar. Im thinking of replacing my headlight and both driving lights with something brighter as I work 3rd shift and a majority of my riding is btwn 10pm - 7am. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

I believe the light bar lamps are H3 bulbs. Available at most parts stores or the dreaded walmart.
Additionally you can replace the headlight with a lamp designed for cars.

Not big on lighting, but my bulbs are currently 35watt, can I bump to 55watt? I see 35watt is not as common among my local shops. Thanks for the help again.

I ran 55's for awhile, & ended up using the lights less. I then switched to PIAA 35's. I prefer the 35's.

On my first 07 TBA, the stock Triumph light bar bulbs burnt out fairly quickly. I couldn't find 35 watt and went with 55 watt. I remember having issues with one of the bulbs getting hot enough to melt one of the wires touching the reflector and blowing a fuse. Had to be careful with them afterwards. I also seem to recall another rider once saying he couldn't see my front turn signals because the lightbar lights were so bright. He felt it would be a hazard if turning into oncoming traffic.

With my replacement 07 TBA, I put the newbonneville.com Xenon blue bulbs in both the light bar and headlight and am very pleased with them. I admit, I rarely ride at night, but they do put out a good bright light.

Blue/White 2007 TBA, Thruxton needles, Unifilter, AI removed, Polaris Bellmouth, Bubs, Nology Coils/wires, Lightbar, Ricor Intiminators, Hagon Nitros, Tall Sissy Bar w/luggage rack, Dart flyscreen & Lowers. 130 Mains, TrueGel Battery MG12-BS.

Replace all bulbs with PIAA bulbs. More light (MUCH more light) for the same wattage.

I'd like to replace my stock head light bulb, and the bulbs in the Triumph Auxiliary Lamp kit on my 2009 America. Ideally, I'd like to stay at the same power draw, with increased brightness or luminosity.

Can anyone recommend some bulbs?
How much hassle is opening those light cans to replace them?

One screw at the bottom. Just don't touch the bulbs with your barehands. The oils will cause quicker burnout. O'Reilly orders my 35w bulbs and has them in the next day. Cheap.

Thommy, like others said the 35w lamps should be available at a local auto parts store. When I had the light bar I had one the blow and that's where I got them. Later took off the light bar a just went with a better headlamp. Be careful going to the 55w due to the added current/heat as mentioned.

Marcellus, I got a Phillips or Sylvania (?) Xenon replacement headlight. Was maybe $40. Don't remember which on-line M/C parts store. The lamp & reflector were a big improvement over the original parts. Never tried the better lamp in the stock reflector but did go the other way for a couple of days. I recommend replacing the reflector as well as the lamp itself. Replacement was easy.
