oil temperature gauge

Hi !

I just bought and installed a temperature gauge on my speed.



It comes from "Louis" in germany for 19.90 euros.

I wish I could read German...

How do these work ? Is there a little sensing tip extending out or does it depend upon oil to splash on it's backside ?

Yep, looks like it depends on the oil splashing on the back side. They don't list the America specifically, but I would think it should fit. Same engine and all.

actually the more I look at it the newbonn version is lower profile and looks to be better made.
