I have a 2005 Bonneville America and in 2006 at dealers suggestion replaced the front brake disk because it was warped; the disk was covered under waranty. Now I have the same problem again and the dealer is saying I need another front disk before I can replace the brake pads. Is this a problem inherant to the 2005 America? Any suggestions? Thanks

the old design was prone to warping, there is a new design that is supposed to have fixed the problem.

Dennis,

A number of members have reported warped discs but the majority of us haven't had a problem. 48,000 kms on mine with no issues. Getting a little thin though.

Did you bring the bike to the dealer because you had a brake problem or just to replace the pads. If the brakes applied right away and you didn't feel any brake pulse in the handle, I'd change the pads myself and forget them. Takes less than an hour.
