After reading the kid rock thread,, it made me think of this, WHO DO YOU THINK TRIUMPH SHOULD GET TO SELL THEIR STUFF? They hire metro guy models and nice looking chicks who dont know a handel bar from a fork, So what modern person who is STILL LIVING do you think would appeal to the new gen of possible trumpet buyers?

It would be nice to see Triumph just do some sort of advertising campaign without some celebrity face attached. These bikes sell themselves but how many times have we been asked "they still make those?" The general public is uninformed. We are lucky enough to have two Triumph dealers here in St. Louis so most people I talk to that are looking at bikes already know about them. Maybe one of them 3.8 million dollar Super Bowl ads?

So no one has any real thoughts?? But I agree that a high profile add would be good. Still who could be the modern Icon like Steve was, even though he didnt try to be,, he just was.
My vote? Nathen Fillion and the guy who played Hulk in the Avengers. He even rode a T-100 in at the end of the movie. For a chick,, I vote Lzzy Hale and Kat Denning. Oh and I just saw a bonnie in a JCP add tonight.subtle, but it was there.

I had to google all three of them you listed... I have seen that chick on the 2 Broke Girls show, and I know the band Halestorm... the dude I didn't recognize. Mark Ruffalo is the Hulk

I would think Ewan McGregor, well known as an avid motorcyclist and an "A-Lister" as they say in "The Biz", would be the obvious choice. Alternate choices might be any of the following celebs known to be motorcyclists: Hugh Laurie Justin Timberlake Ryan Reynolds Orlando Bloom Matthew McConaughey Moe (...and if you might have any further questions here Gentlemen, you can find me in Central Casting Offices suite-495 between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday)

Hey now Scott, my wife and I think he's a nice kid with a fairly good voice and a great sense of humor. Ever seen any of his appearances as host of SNL?

Joe Satriani has Triumph shirts and a poster behind his guitar rig in some of the Chickenfoot vids. So pretty cool there.

I think I would default to Ewan McGregor too. He's pretty damn cool, definitely rides, and he's Obi-Wan Kanobi.

Ewan McGregor would be a good choice. He is an accomplished motorcycle enthusiast, cool enough for the dudes to relate, and a good looking guy for the ladies to ogle.
Interestingly enough, he turned down the part of James Bond in Casino Royale, and Daniel Craig got the gig.

I was thinking Hugh Laurie, till Dwight mentioned Ewan McGregor, both ride Triumphs, everyone knows who they are, both are popular and neither are metro-sexual.

++1, but I don't think he actually rides a Triumph; or at all unless it's a Honda for the newest Bond film.

Ewan's a shoe-in for this. No to the latest Bond guy. I guess I'm one of the few who doesn't care for him. No charm or sense of humor. Deadly serious, yeah I get that, just like any other modern action hero. But back to Ewan. Hire him!

I've seen Ryan Reynolds on a Triumph. Might have been an ad. Nathan Fillion is cool, especially in character as Mal Reynolds.
I could make myself available for the right price.

Nobody special. How about simple 15-30 second spots of actual Triumph riders riding down the road. Beautiful scenery, limited background music - just the sound of the bikes (maybe TORS so we could hear them)? End the commercial quietly with the Triumph logo and website info.
Make it personal. Tie the ads to the part of the country(s) where the commercial is being shown and in the right season.
Isn't that what made Steppenwolf's song so popular? We were that song (or wanted to be)!
Leave the posing to the other brands.

Smokey you have just added to the cool factor. I might have to get "I aim to misbehave" added to the tank under the Triumph badge LOLOL.-- I now know you also can apriciate my quotes

It would be nice to see some advertising, but I personally wouldn't want to see some Hollywierd douche hocking them. A motorsports celeb would be cool.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
